Northern Belting Pty Ltd specialise in hot vulcanised and cold bonded rubber linings for pipework, spools, tanks, chutes and valves in a wide range of compounds. Our facility contains abrasive blasting and external coating equipment to deliver quality workmanship and fast turnaround.

Superior bonding of rubber to metal requires an autoclave which applies both heat and pressure to the conveyor drum or product that is placed inside of it. This process gives one of the best possible rubber to metal adhesion ratings when compared to the cold bonding process using rubber based glue.

The key component of the industrial autoclave is the application of pressure, during the heating process the materials are under constant pressure for the curing time of the cooking process. This positive pressure pushes the rubber to gain maximum contact with the metal and uncured rubber primers giving a long lasting and overall excellent working life of your lagged or lined steel component.

After the cooking process the conveyor drum can be grooved with either a diamond or chevron pattern or simply left as a plain flat finish. Most parts can be done with a 60 duro abrasion resistant rubber but other types can be applied such as coloured neoprene or nitrile blends for the printing and food industries. CHUTEX 40 SHEET RUBBER

Chutex 40 Sheet Rubber is a pink, premium grade, soft, flexible and highly elastic 40 Duro, wear resistant natural rubber sheet. It has excellent resistance to wet and dry fine particle sliding abrasion.

Chutex 40 will display resistance to some mild chemicals, including acids and alkalis used in mineral processing. Chutex 40 has good physical properties including mechanical strength and cut and tear resistance. This makes it suitable for wear protection and sealing applications which require the rubber to be both flexible and compressible.

NB38 LINING RUBBER

38 DURO, WEAR RESISTANT, NATURAL RUBBER, BUFFED BACK NB38 Lining Rubber is a pink, premium grade, soft, flexible and highly elastic 38 Duro wear resistant natural rubber sheet which has excellent resistance to wet slurry and fine particle sliding abrasion.

NB38 will display resistance to some mild chemicals, including acids and alkalis used in mineral processing. NB38 is supplied with a buffed back finish to assist in adhesion when bonded to steel or other rubber surfaces but still maintains its full flexibility making it stretchable and compressible during application. To achieve good bond strength, the TRS range of cold, vulcanising adhesives are recommended. NB38 has excellent physical properties including cut and tear resistance making it suitable for wear protection rubber lining applications.

NB40 LINING RUBBER

40 DURO, WEAR RESISTANT, NATURAL RUBBER, CN BONDING LAYER

NB40 Lining Rubber is an orange, premium grade, soft, flexible and highly elastic, 40 Duro wear resistant Natural rubber sheet which has excellent resistance to wet and dry fine particle sliding abrasion. NB40 contains reinforcing fillers giving it extra resistance to cutting and gouging by sharp particles. NB40 will display resistance to some mild chemicals, including acids and alkalis used in mineral processing.

NB40 is supplied with a specially formulated Neoprene based CN Bonding Layer to achieve ultimate adhesion when bonded to steel or other rubber surfaces. To achieve this ultimate bond strength, the TRS range of cold, vulcanising adhesives are recommended.

NB40 has excellent physical properties including cut and tear resistance making it suitable for wear protection rubber lining applications. The CN bonding layer and TRS adhesive system is extremely flexible and allows good bond strength to be achieved even in adverse conditions often encountered when application is occurring on site and on operational equipment.
